Nancy is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of NJ. She has a B.A in Psychology from Seton Hall University and a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Montclair State University. Nancy has over 20 years working with adults, couples and families for a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, PTSD/trauma, divorce, relationships, stress management, anger, grief, parenting, self-esteem, caregiver issues and many other mental health challenges.

Arlene Licata MA, LMFT, LPC

Arlene brings 25 years of experience working with couples, families and individuals across the generations. She received her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Antioch University in 1992. She is extensively trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples, a highly effective approach. Additionally, she has training in EMDR (an acclaimed approach to treating trauma and anxiety issues). Finally, growing out of years of experience with hospice work, she has developed an expertise in grief counseling.
In her words, “For me, being a therapist means sharing my humanity with others, while maintaining an objective perspective that facilitates learning and change. My office is a nurturing space where you can take some time for yourself in the presence of a supportive counselor. My purpose is to provide comfort and safety as well as the guidance and focus that will help you reach the best resolutions to your challenges.

Donna is our senior therapist. She specializes in psychotherapy for individuals, couples and seniors struggling with depression, anxiety and personality disorders.
Donna has 4years post graduate education in psychoanalytic psychotherapy. Her approach is collaborative, empathic and interactive. She will work with you to gain a deeper understanding of your true self and identify patterns and beliefs that may be preventing you from experiencing a more satisfying life. You will develop together new strategies and approaches that will help you overcome any obstacles that keep you from realizing your potential.
Donna’s practice is influenced by the mind-body connection, humanistic and existential orientations. She works with adults of all ages on a variety of issues.

Catherine Ottaviano MSW, LCSW

Cathy is a therapist with multiple years working with individuals impacted by addiction. She has experience treating co-occurring disorders in both individual and group settings. She takes a very empathetic and collaborative approach in her work. Cathy believes that it is very important to build upon your current strengths while addressing issues that may hinder your recovery. Cathy believes that each client is unique and will work with you to develop a treatment plan that is personalized to you.
Addiction impacts people from all walks of life, and it therefore important to take your personal situation into account in your work together, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. Cathy’s treatment approach utilizes aspects of CBT, Motivational Interviewing, relapse prevention and 12 step philosophy.
She offers a supportive environment where you can learn the skills necessary to maintain long-term recovery and resolve any underlying or co-occurring issues.

Seeking therapy takes a great deal of courage. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) as well as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), my role is to create a safe and open environment where trust and understanding can occur. Through my years of working with a broad range of client’s I have learned the importance of identifying and drawing upon each individuals unique strengths and talents to assist them in building a life worth living. My goal is to guide my clients in finding their own unique paths around obstacles such as personal and daily life stressors, depression and anxiety, addiction, and trauma so that they can achieve personal goals, as well as greater emotional health and overall wellbeing. I draw upon a range of approaches including but not limited to CBT, Trauma Focused Therapy, Emotionally Focused, Family Systems, and Strength Based Therapy. Judy is a licensed social worker who received her master’s degree at Wurzweiler School of Social Work. Judy works with children, adults and couples. She believes in a holistic approach when working with clients and addressing the entire person in their environment. Judy uses an array of therapeutic modalities including family systems, CBT, strengths-based therapy, Internal Family Systems and creative arts to deepen the work with her clients. She works with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, relationships and self-esteem. Judy runs self-development groups for emerging adult women.
It is important to her that her clients feel seen, supported and empowered, and that they develop the skills to successfully generalize what happens in the therapeutic environment to their personal lives.

Hanna Kopelowitz MA, LACW

Hanna Kopelowitz earned a Master’s degree from the University of the Cumberlands in mental health counseling and completed postgraduate training in individual and family therapy at the Family Institute of Nevey with a focus treating adolescents and their families, adults, and couples. Hanna has extensive experience working with issues including anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, trauma, interpersonal difficulties and family issues. She is committed to creating a safe context which allows for clients to be able to connect with themselves and make sense of their experience thus, feeling more “together” and to relate to others more deeply and with greater satisfaction.
Hanna uses an integrative model in her work with clients that draws on family systems, psychodynamic psychotherapy, somatic techniques, sand tray and parts work.
